Annual –   it happens once a year

Auspicious –  fortunate or favourable

Commemoration – a celebration of or a reminder of some past event or person

Celebrant –  someone who performs a religious ceremony 

Impromptu – done without any rehearsal or planning/preparation

Jubilant – rejoicing or triumphant

Jubilee – a special anniversary e.g. silver (25th), golden (50th) and diamond (60th) 

Memento – a souvenir

Momentous – very important

Merriment – cheerfulness and liveliness
