Thank you to everyone who brought their children to our NEW WORKSHOPS this half-term. And what a wonderful time we all had.
On Tuesday we were explorers travelling to strange lands to uncover long-hidden treasures, some of them cursed, some of them heavily guarded and all difficult to reach. The children then set about making wonderful Egyptian necklaces, trying them on for size, helping each other with fiddly threading and cutting. It was so lovely to witness!
On Wednesday we ventured into the garden at Friends House. It is the garden that never stops giving and it didn’t disappoint us this time. With flowers in bloom, tiny insects and snails happily going about their business and the sun shining down on them, the children found plenty of inspiration for their poems. Each poem was absolutely stunning, knocking the breath out of Michelle and I as we listened to their wondrous words. Then the artists in them came out as they made dioramas and filled them with wonders from their imagination and the garden. Wow!
We hope the children enjoyed it as much as we did… and we loved every minute of it.
Hoping to see you all again soon! Best wishes, Helena
