Children’s Book Week (run by Booktrust) will take place from 7-11 October this year.
It is a scheme that has been running for the past 80 years and aims to promote reading for pleasure for children of primary school age. Events are usually held in schools, libraries and other venues all over the UK. Through activities children will be encouraged to discuss books that they are readiung, explore libraries and bookshops and even start writing themselves.
