Today has been a great day for Story Room writers! HUGE congratulations to Mikael (aged 13) whose poem THE OPEN SIGN was highly commended in the 11-15yr old category of the Poetry for Good competition. He really deserves to be recognised for his writing. I have enjoyed his writing for years, now you can read his poem and share in some of that pleasure.
And congratulations to Jess (ex Story Room pupil – aged 16) whose poems win or are shortlisted in everything she enters… for her poem THE NIGHTINGALE which was shortlisted in the top 100 poems. And I am delighted too as my poem FROM ST PATRICK TO ST PATRICK was also shortlisted in the top 100 poems!
The poems all celebrate key workers during the pandemic.
