WRITING CLUB FOR YEARS 6,7, 8 and 9.
Time: 3.30pm to 5.00pm
Dates: Saturday 30th September, Saturday 28th October, Saturday 18th November, Saturday 16th December
Location: Friends House, 59 Church Hill, London N21 1LE (EXCEPT OUR NOVEMBER DATE which is in Oakwood Library Bramley Road, London N14 4XA)
The workshops are for children who enjoy writing and want to improve their writing skills in a fun and relaxed environs. It is an opportunity for them to belong to a small community of young writers and to receive feedback on their writing. Each session is themed and we look at a variety of styles and genres of writing, so that there is something to appeal to all tastes.
Fee: £25.00 for each session THERE IS NO NEED TO ATTEND EACH DATE – NO COMMITMENT NECESSARY…. just tell us you are coming beforehand by completing the Booking Form (scroll to end of page)
WRITING COURSE FOR YEARS 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
Time: 7pm to 8.30pm
Dates: Tuesday 19th September, Tuesday 17th October, Tuesday 14th November (this is a special session with Penny Joelson, author of I have no secrets ) Tuesday 12th December.
Location: Southgate Leisure Centre, Winchmore Hill Road, London N14
The course is run by Allan Boroughs (author of Ironheart and Bloodstone – Macmillan) and Helena Steel who both have considerable experience of writing with teenagers and who are passionate about writing and the benefits that it brings.
Fee: £100.00 for 4 sessions (priority is given to block bookings) or £30.00 for each individual date booked.
There will be the additional cost of a signed copy of Penny’s book on November 14th .
