Hocus Pocus by Holly aged 11

Drop in the pulp of a green cactus first,

Then add some snake venom juice to quench the brew’s thirst,RatsPrintable-GraphicsFairysm1

Fresh worms and a sprinkling of mud,

Now drop in a pair of beetles; thud, thud!

And don’t forget the slimy snail’s shell,

Of course collect two rats from the bottom of a well,

Add the spikes of a lethal leech or a prickly porcupine,

Let in the leaves of a poisonous vine,

A hair from a rabbits foot (to bring good luck),

Now for some noises, like the quack of a duck,

The scream of a silent snake,

The shriek of a seagull that makes you shake,

The howl of a wolf a million miles away,

Our brew is almost ready, hip hip hurray!

Pour it into goblets once held by witches,

Serve it with strange and magical dishes,

Finally wait in wonder for the magic to begin,

And watch as your victim devours the contents of their bin!
