These workshops are aimed at pupils in Year 5 and 6 who are preparing for their 11-plus English entrance examinations into secondary grammar and independent schools. In each session we will study comprehension skills and creative writing for the 11 plus exams, focusing on maximising marks and getting through the paper in time. We will observe the children’s development throughout and each child will be given a written appraisal to take home at the end of the course.
At the Story Room we understand the pressures of the 11 plus exams, so although the workshops will not be in the usual format of our the holiday and Saturday workshops, we aim for our workshops to be run in a relaxed environment for the children.
Location: Friends House, 59 Church Hill, London N21 1LE
Time: 2pm to 3.30pm
Our first block of 5 dates: Saturday 21st January, Saturday 18th February, Saturday 18th March, Saturday 22nd April and Saturday 20th May
Fee: £160.00 for the whole course – 5 sessions or £35.00 a session where booked individually (priority is given to block bookings) – max 8 children in a group.
