Dear Thomas,

I hope you are well. We’ve written to you before – I think it was when The Last Wild first came out. I know that since then you have drawn many more maps! How fantastic! We now have a new generation of book clubbers so I introduced The Last Wild to them, which they read and enjoyed.

We love maps at The Story Room and find it surprising that nowadays many children have never seen a physical map so in our meeting we looked closely at your wonderful map. The children were asked to draw a section of it in closer detail. Here are their pictures – I hope you like them.
