Tabitha and the Rain Cloud – Book Review by Maggie T
Written by Devon Sillett and Melissa Johns.
Illustrated by Mark Thacker
What a surprise, my friend is called Tabitha and so I really wanted to read on.
Tabitha is a young girl and one morning woke up with a rain cloud hanging over her head. Wherever she went that day the rain cloud followed her and everything seemed to go horribly wrong. She decided to try and make the best of things, so she put on her raincoat and wellingtons and had some fun splashing in the puddles. As she laughed and played all her friends joined in the fun. The rain cloud disappeared.
The moral of the story is that even when things are tough, like now with the lockdown, keep smiling and be optimistic and things will get better.
My brother, Gordon, and I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend this book for children aged 5 to 6.
